Intelle completed the extension and conversion of three pairs of semi detached properties within a conservation area of central Cardiff to create 42 new apartments and 6 office units at ground floor level. Alterations to the existing buildings included demolition of side the rear annexes and removal of existing staircases, structural alterations to layouts with new steel beams installed and repairs and renewal of existing timber floors. The roofs were renewed, new sash windows installed complete with repairs and cleaning to restore the grade II façade of these historic buildings.
New blockwork extensions were being built to the rear of the properties with flat roofs tied into the existing pitched roofs. The units are a mix of 1 and 2 bedroom with open plan living and kitchen space and fully fitted out for modern inner city living.
External works included a new substation, external plant areas, hard and soft landscaping with bike storage and refuse stores and a new perimeter metal fence and boundary wall.
